After an intensive audition process last weekend, it is with great pleasure that we officially announce our talented cast for the upcoming major production of Blackadder, The Golden Age. This will be Repertory's first production for 2021 and will be staged at the SIT Centrestage from March 17th-20th. The play is directed by Jason Fraser, who's last production for Repertory was the extremely successful Blackadder Goes Forth, The Play in 2018. Jason has again drawn inspiration and adapted for the stage the play based on the original BBC series written by Rowan Atkinson, Richard Curtis and Ben Elton.
This time we see our anti-hero Edmund Blackadder in Elizabethan England. With him are his usual accomplices Baldrick and Lord Percy, Percy together they get into strife, fall in love, get kidnapped, and try to avoid execution. As you'll expect there will be the usual madcap shenanigans, crazy characters and cunning plans you've come to expect from the Blackadder Dynasty.
