Owen Gerrard Drama Scholarship Policy

An Owen Gerrard Drama Scholarship provides financial support of $3,000.00 for an individual showing outstanding talent in the performing arts to assist them further in this field. Areas of study may include (but are not limited to) acting, directing, producing, sound production, lighting design and operation, set design and construction, make-up and costume design.

Eligibility

  • Have been involved with Repertory Invercargill's Youth Drama classes for more than one term.
  • Or have been a financial member of Repertory Invercargill for a year or longer.
  • Or have been involved in more than one production for Repertory Invercargill on or offstage.


Applicants shall provide:

  • A completed Scholarship Application Form. As shown on this Webpage.
  • Details of the Tertiary Programme for which this scholarship is applied for.
  • Proof of successful enrolment of Tertiary Programme scholarship is for.


When to Apply
Scholarship applications are accepted throughout the year, however applications will close on the second Friday in December. For 2020 the deadline is 5pm on Friday 12th December.

Successful applicants will be notified by December 31st.

Payment of Scholarship
Scholarship funding will be paid at the commencement of the Tertiary Programme for which the scholarship was applied for.
