Fostering Youth in Theatre Skills!
Youth Drama gives the opportunity for school age students to learn more about theatre (plays, props, sets, costumes, sound and lighting) and stage craft (mime, improvisation, voice production, techniques) in a safe, fun theatre environment from skilled and enthusiastic volunteer tutors.
What we offer:
Drama Starters for 5-8 year olds
Junior Drama for 8-12 year olds
Intermediate Drama for students 13 years and up
Classes are held at Repertory House Cnr Jed and Esk St. for approx. 1 hour a week in Terms 1 and 2 each year. The classes culminate in a staged performance of up to three shows. This is held in the second to last week-end (Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening) of Term 2.
To register for classes there is a registration day held in early February – the date once set will be advertised via our website, social media and local newspapers.
A flat rate of $50 for the two terms of classes is charged at registration.
Parents interested in helping with set, costumes, back stage, music, choreography etc please inform us at registration – any help is appreciated.
