Repertory Rumblings Issue 8 (2021)

2021 and Beyond!

It's been a busy couple of months for the Rep. In March we had another successful Blackadder season with the OSTA nominated play, The Golden Age and our AGM. Special thanks to all those involved in the show and to those of you who came and supported it. Congratulations as well to our new Committee members, Jo Bremer and Ilana Edlin we are looking forward to your enthusiasm and contribution as part of the management team of the society. Finally it was Repertory's honour to be a part of a special farewell for a beloved member of the Invercargill theatre and Repertory community, Elizabeth Edlin. Buffy was a Past President, Life Member and long-time volunteer of the society, she is very much missed and we send our support and best wishes to her family.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

Very soon we will be making a special announcement in regards to an upcoming production for this year! What we can say is that in terms of Amateur Theatre in New Zealand this is epic and quite a coup, so keep an eye on all our social platforms and be the first to know!

Expressions of Interest!!

2022 Production Applications
As part of our future planning and looking forward to 2022 it is that time of year, when we request expressions of interest for future productions.

Have you ever thought of a play you would like to recommend or even an interest in directing productions?

Applications are now open from the Repertory Invercargill Future Productions Committee (FuPro) for consideration of the 2022 production season or future Directors. If you are interested in contributing to the Invercargill Theatre community or wish to expand into other aspects of the performing arts, Repertory Invercargill is a good place to start. At Rep. our Mission is to Provide, Promote and to Foster the performing arts for our local community and we are always on the lookout for future volunteers who wish to contribute to our Mission.

If you wish to submit an application to either, direct a future production or submit a play to direct then please email repertory.invercargill@gmail.c...

ATTENTION: FUPRO please include a:

  • Covering Letter
  • Theatre/Directing Resume
  • The play you may wish to submit for consideration
  • Rights Holders or Official Website of submitted play details

Applications close on Monday 31st May 2021
